Suspect sought in failed robbery attempt in downtown Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — RCMP are asking for the public’s help to track down the suspect of a failed robbery attempt last Tuesday (Feb. 1).

Police say a man entered a store in the 400-block of Victoria Street shortly after 7 p.m. He showed what appeared to be a knife and demanded money from the cashier.

“When the cashier refused, the suspect fled on a black BMX bike, eastbound on Victoria Street,” Cst. Crystal Evelyn says.

The suspect is described as:

• Caucasian male in his 20s or 30s
• 5’11
• Average build
