Weekend for Kamloops RCMP includes North Shore assaults and stolen ID recovered

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP responded to approximately 331 calls for service from midnight Friday (Feb. 4) to 9:00 a.m. on Monday (Feb. 7). Below are some highlights from those reports.

Sunday stabbing

Officers found a man with stab wounds on the North Shore at around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday.

According to RCMP, the victim stated he had biked away from where he was stabbed on the 400-block of Tranquille Road. He was later transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP are searching for witnesses and surveillance.

Reported assault

Police say a man was taken to hospital following a reported assault on the North Shore overnight Sunday.

Officers found a man with non-life-threatening injuries who was reportedly uncooperative.

RCMP responded after three people were involved in a fight, one of them armed with what appeared to be a baton, on the 300-block of Tranquille Road.

Stolen IDs

A woman was arrested, and large amounts of stolen identification and documents were seized early Monday morning.

RCMP say an officer patrolled a parking lot on Versatile Drive where she recognized a reported stolen Hyundai Kona with Alberta plates.

Police say the woman was released with a court date and conditions.
