Blazers win eighth straight, blow out Royals again 8-2

KAMLOOPS — Make it eight wins in a row for the Kamloops Blazers.

All but three skaters for the Blazers got on the scoresheet in an 8-2 blowout of the Victoria Royals. Kamloops scored the first five goals en route to their ninth win over Victoria in the 2021-22 Western Hockey League (WHL) season.

The Blazers improve to 30-11-1 on the season, good for 61 points in 42 games. Kamloops is first in the WHL B.C. Division and second in the Western Conference, trailing the Everett Silvertips by seven points with a game in hand.

A rematch between the Blazers and Royals takes place in Victoria at 4 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 6).
