Bike and footprints found outside, but no one found inside of burning Tranquille building: KFR
KAMLOOPS — A pair of abandoned buildings on the North Shore and downtown suffered fire damage on Friday (Feb. 4).
Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) says heavy smoke and flames were coming from the rear deck of the old Red Sea Auto Sales building on Tranquille Road, and a fire was set outside a house on the 400-block of Nicola Street.
Platoon Captain Mike Haines says there was a bike outside the old Red Sea Auto Sales building, and footprints in that snow that led their way into the structure. However, there were no footprints coming out. He says crews knocked the fire down and searched the building, but nobody was inside.
