Snowfall warning issued for Coquihalla south of Merritt

MERRITT, B.C. — Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Hope-to-Merritt stretch of the Coquihalla Highway.

The forecaster notes heavy snow is expected to hit the section of highway starting Friday night (Feb. 4), with easing expected by the morning.

A total of 15 centimetres is expected.

Drivers are reminded to prepare for rapidly changing road conditions and potentially poor visibility.
