B.C. COVID-19 death toll up by 19 Friday; hospitalizations down

VICTORIA — It has been another deadly day in B.C.’s battle against COVID-19.

According to the Ministry of Health, 19 more people have died of the virus Friday (Feb. 4), lifting the provincial death toll to 2,675. None of Friday’s deaths occurred within Interior Health.

The hospitalization total with COVID-19 continues on the downslope, at 946 on Friday, a decrease of 39 from Thursday. There are 139 people in intensive care, a decrease of six from the day before.

There were 1,799 more positive tests recorded, including 531 within Interior Health.
