COVID-19 hospitalizations ease slightly, remain above 1,000
VICTORIA — B.C.’s Ministry of Health reports 1,035 COVID-19 hospitalizations for Tuesday (Feb. 1), a decrease of 13 since Monday.
Of those patients, 139 are in intensive care, a slight increase of one.
Between Jan. 17 and 30, B.C. reported 1,129 COVID-19 hospitalizations. The fully-vaccinated population accounted for 781 of those (69.2 per cent), the unvaccinated 297 (26.3 per cent), and the partially vaccinated 51 (4.5 per cent).
However, per 100,000 population adjusting for age, 75.4 patients were unvaccinated, 41.5 were partially vaccinated, and 16.7 were fully vaccinated.
