City of Kamloops recreation and fitness facilities re-open under updated health guidelines
KAMLOOPS — With the rest of the fitness facilities re-opening in B.C. today (Jan. 20), the City of Kamloops says its recreation centres will also be back in service.
In a media release, the City says all of its gyms and recreation facilities, including the Fieldhouse at the TCC, are open.
Gyms will have reduced occupancy limits and still require proof of vaccination. Certain pieces of equipment might be unavailable due to spacing requirements.
“We appreciate the public’s patience as we continue to adjust our operations following the Provincial Health Orders,” said Linda Stride, the City’s Recreation, Health and Wellness Supervisor. “We look forward to welcoming our recreational users back and ask residents to allow extra time for themselves and continue to be kind to staff as we work through the updated protocols including confirming proof of vaccination.”
