KFR deals with small fire at restaurant on the North Shore

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops Fire Rescue was called out to the A&W restaurant on the North Shore early this morning (Jan. 14) to deal with a minor fire. 14 members responded to the call at 12:45 A.M.

Upon their arrival, crews discovered some flames and smoke coming for a some food storage items, stacked outside the building. The fire was put out quickly.

The flames managed to scorch the exterior of the building and damage a small storage shed.

Fire crews inspected the interior of the restaurant but couldn’t locate any signs of the fire entering the building.
