Suspect arrested, charged after break-in at Kamloops Fire Rescue hall in Dallas
KAMLOOPS — RCMP have arrested a suspect after a break-in at the Dallas Kamloops Fire Rescue station this week.
On Wednesday (Jan. 12) at 10:45 a.m., RCMP were called to the fire hall in the 5000-block of Dallas Drive after firefighters discovered it had been burglarized overnight. Thieves stole several radios and chargers, a Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) Camera and other pieces of firefighting gear.
Investigators arrested a suspect soon after at a nearby home, finding and returning the stolen property.
A 21-year-old Kamloops man is facing charges for break, enter and theft, theft over $5,000 and possession of stolen property.
