Bob Saget Dies Suddenly

Comedian and actor Bob Saget passed away on Sunday (January 9th) at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida. He was 65 years old.

Most known for his role as Danny Tanner in Full House, Saget was on a nationwide tour that began in September and was scheduled to last through May. He stopped in several cities throughout the state of Florida, including Orlando.

On Saturday night (January 8th), Saget was in Jacksonville for a show at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. He posted to Twitter, “Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit. Check http://BobSaget.com for my dates in 2022.”

In addition to doing stand-up comedy and starring in Full House, Saget also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989-1997. His more recent roles included playing the narrator on How I Met Your Mother, a reprised role on Fuller House, and a recurring spot on Entourage.

Saget’s friend and Full House costar, John Stamos, tweeted Sunday (January 9th), “I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”

Gilbert Gottfried wrote, “Still in shock. I just spoke with Bob a few days ago. We stayed on the phone as usual making each other laugh. RIP to friend, comedian & fellow Aristocrat Bob Saget.”

Whoopi Goldberg tweeted, “Sail on my friend Bob Saget With your huge heart and abject lunacy,my condolences to his daughters & other family”

His cause of death is still unknown.
