KAMLOOPS — It won’t be in the championship final, but Corryn Brown will face off against Sarah Wark, the skip she met in the last two B.C. championship games.

Brown’s rink won the ‘C’ final 8-1 over Shiella Cowan on Friday afternoon (Jan. 7), while Wark eliminated Diane Gushulak with a 10-8 victory.

The two face off in the 3-4 page playoff game tonight at 7 p.m. with the winner playing the loser of the 1-2 game between No. 1 seed Kayla MacMillan and the second-ranked Mary-Anne Arsenault.

Wark bested Brown in the 2019 final, while the Kamloops rink got revenge in 2020.

On the men’s side, Jim Cotter is also off to the playoffs. The Vernon skip who grew up in Kamloops defeated Sebastien Robillard 7-3 in his ‘C’ final.

He plays Tyler Tardi on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Cotter won 7-3 over Tardi in Thursday evening’s ‘B’ semi-final. The winner of the game advances to play the loser of the 1-2 page playoff between the surprise of the tournament, No. 1 seed Paul Cseke, and the Jeff Richard rink skipped by Brent Pierce.
