RCMP stop erratic truck, recover drugs and weapon

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating after recovering drugs and a weapon following reports of dangerous driving on New Year’s Day (Jan. 1).

RCMP responded to a call of a pickup truck swerving and traveling at an erratic speed on Parkcrest Avenue near Holt Street.

Officers stopped the truck on Westsyde Road where they recovered drug trafficking paraphernalia, 25 grams of suspected fentanyl and crystal meth along with carbon fiber knuckles.

Police towed the truck and issued tickets. Those with information about this incident are asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
