Brown rink down to final chance at B.C. curling championships
KAMLOOPS — The defending B.C. women’s champion is down to her last loss.
Kamloops skip Corryn Brown lost her ‘B’ semi-final match to Diane Gushulak 6-4 on Thursday night at the Kamloops Curling Club. Now, the Brown rink needs to win on Friday afternoon to keep its hope of a repeat alive.
Brown got up 4-2 after six ends, but proceeded to give up steals of one in the eighth and two in the ninth to lose the match.
She plays Shiella Cowan in one of two ‘C’ finals at 2 p.m. Friday. Brown defeated Cowan 7-5 on Thursday. A loss would knock the Kamloops rink out of the championship.
