Blazers have suspected positive COVID-19 cases, weekend games postponed
KAMLOOPS — COVID is halting the Blazers’ winning streak at two games.
After taking back-to-back games against Prince George last weekend, a pair of Kamloops home games have been postponed by the Western Hockey League. The Blazers were scheduled to host Portland on Friday and Vancouver on Saturday.
Blazers’ assistant GM Tim O’Donovan tells CFJC Today there are suspected COVID-19 cases on the team following rapid tests. The team is now awaiting official confirmation of positive results through PCR tests.
O’Donovan says the team doesn’t know at this point how many players or staff have been infected.
