KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say they’re investigating a New Year’s break-in in Pineview where thieves made off with more than half a dozen firearms.

Just after midnight on Jan. 1, officers responded to the 1900-block of Englemann Court where a resident returned home and found a Dodge pickup in their driveway that quickly sped away along with another nearby truck.

The pickup was reportedly backed into the garage door and the men broke into the house and stole revolvers, shotguns, rifles, and a carbine.

Surveillance footage reveals the pickup truck was near the home at around 11:34 p.m., then returned around 12:13 a.m. Several men are believed to have been involved; one was wearing red footwear.
