RCMP seeking witnesses of hit and run in Salmon Arm

SALMON ARM, B.C. — Salmon Arm RCMP are seeking witnesses after a 57-year-old man was struck by a vehicle Thursday (Dec. 30) evening.
Police say the man was crossing a crosswalk at the intersection of Fifth Avenue SW and Third Street SW where he was struck. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
RCMP say the driver did not stop at the scene. Their vehicle is suspected to be a dark coloured – purple or maroon – early 2000’s Chevrolet Tahoe.
Anyone with information on the driver or the vehicle, or witnessed the collision, is asked to contact Salmon Arm RCMP.
