One person injured in head-on crash involving semi south of Quesnel

QUESNEL — At least one person was injured in a head-on crash this morning on Highway 97, approximately 35 kilometres south of Quesnel.
North District RCMP say it happened at approximately 11 a.m. between Alexandria Ferry South Road and Alexandria Ferry North Road.
Police say the crash involved a semi and a small car. The semi truck is now leaking fuel and the Ministry of Environment has been advised.
Emergency Health Services have been called and though the highway was closed for over an hour in both directions, it has since reopened to single-lane alternating traffic.
