Weekend for Kamloops RCMP includes break-in and downtown disturbance

Kamloops RCMP responded to approximately 373 calls for service from midnight Friday (Dec. 17) to 9 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 20). Below are some highlights from those reports.

Break-in at Seymour home

A Kamloops resident on the 100-block of Seymour Street west woke to loud banging and discovered their shed had been broken into, and the male suspect was still there trying to get into a vehicle.

RCMP say they responded shortly after midnight on Monday and arrested the man, who was later released with a court date and conditions.

Multiple officers responded to a building on Seymour Street West for as a woman reportedly caused a disturbance and damaged property.

RCMP say the woman allegedly threatened police with violence if they entered the area she was refusing to leave.

Officers continued to speak with the woman and convinced her to come out before arresting her without incident.
