Kamloops RCMP looking to identify man who assisted police officer in Saturday night arrest
KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP are hoping to thank a Good Samaritan in-person after the individual helped out an officer who was dealing with a suspected impaired driver Saturday evening.
In a news release, Mounties say an officer was investigating the driver in the Aberdeen area late in the evening. At one point, the suspect fled on foot. Once the officer caught up with him, the suspect continued to resist arrest.
“As the officer called for emergency backup, a Good Samaritan pulled over, got out of his vehicle, and asked the officer if he needed a hand,” said RCMP Constable Crystal Evelyn.
At that point, the officer was able to establish control of the suspect and take him into custody.
