KAMLOOPS – A 28 year old Williams Lake man, who was involved in a high profile arrest Tuesday morning in Kamloops, is facing a series of charges.
Kurt Leo Kujannek is charged with failing to stop while being pursued by police, possession of a stolen truck, dangerous driving; and resisting or obstructing a police officer.
It’s alleged Kujannek made off with a stolen truck in Williams Lake Tuesday morning, filled it up without paying, fled from police in Ashcroft before finally being arrested when he ran over a spike belt that had been laid across the East Trans Canada highway near Dallas.
Kujannek has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again December 20.
