Merritt woman charged in alleged targeted home invasion

MERRITT, B.C. — A Merritt woman was charged after allegedly invading a home with a baton.
In its investigation, Merritt RCMP say a home invasion on Oct. 8, 2021, on the 2400-block of Clapperton Avenue was a targeted attack.
Two suspects reportedly entered a residence without permission and one of them assaulted the homeowner with a collapsible baton. Both suspects were found by officers shortly after and arrested.
A woman was charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling house, assault with a weapon, and mischief. The matter is before the courts.
