KAMLOOPS — Two men were taken into custody following a report of an armed robbery in downtown Kamloops.

RCMP were called to the 450-block of Lansdown Street Friday evening (Dec. 3) after two people reportedly entered a storefront and stated they had been robbed by two men with what appeared to be a gun.

“One of the victims was able to obtain a photo of the suspects, which was shared with officers on patrol,” Cst. Crystal Evelyn states. “Throughout the night, police continued to look for the suspects and were successful in finding them, the stolen handbag, and its contents.”

Police say an object resembling a handgun was located on one of the suspects and seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
