Merritt Post Office resumes service

MERRITT, B.C. — The Merritt Post Office at 2040 Voght St. re-opened to customers.

The post office begins its holiday hours this week; open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Canada Post says the office could be open Sundays if required.

As space to sort and store the mail is frequently maximized, customers are asked to pick up their packages to allow the Merritt Post Office to add more product to serve more customers.

Face covering continues to be mandatory, and the offices asks customers to continue physical distancing measures.

Canada Post temporarily suspended service in Merritt on Nov. 15 following the Coldwater River flood.
