KAMLOOPS – There has been another instance of the frustration some city residents are having with the growing number of BC Housing spaces in Kamloops. The spaces are being developed to accomodate people experiencing homelessness.

In a joint statement from the City of Kamloops and BC Housing, calm is being asked for following an alleged assault at the site of a future shelter at 600 Kingston Avenue.

According to the statement, a Westmount resident was assaulted after removing a poster that was protesting the planned Moira House Shelter.

The statement is asking residents to avoid physical confrontations by engaging through upcoming online information sessions via the City’s Let’s Talk pages.
