B.C. reports 375 new COVID-19 cases, active cases decrease in Interior Health
KAMLOOPS — The B.C. government says Wednesday’s (Dec. 1) COVID-19 case counts are provisional and may be updated, but the province reports 375 new cases, with 69 of them in Interior Health.
Active cases increased to 2,936 in the province (up by 47 from Tuesday) but decreased to 537 in Interior Health (down by 15). Of the provincial active cases, 301 patients are in hospital (up by one) and 98 are in intensive care (down by six).
Elsewhere, 98 new cases were reported in Fraser Health (994 active), 76 in Island Health (569), 70 in Vancouver Coastal Health (476), and 62 in Northern Health (360).
Seven new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, none of them in Interior Health, for a provincial total of 2,340.
