Interior Health leads B.C. in new COVID-19 cases Friday; Gemstone outbreak declared over
VICTORIA — Interior Health is in a rare position Friday (Nov. 19) — leading the province in new COVID-19 cases.
According to the B.C. Ministry of Health, there are 497 new cases of the virus found Friday, including 146 in Interior Health, more than any other health authority.
Active cases are up to 3,420, an increase of 75 from Thursday, and jumped by 45 to 657 in Interior Health.
There are 358 people in hospital (up by three) and 109 in intensive care (down by one).
