A Way Home Kamloops’ late founder Katherine McParland honoured with Affordable Housing Champion Award
KAMLOOPS — Katherine McParland, the late founder of A Way Home Kamloops, has been named as the 2021 recipient of the Affordable Housing Champion Award by the BC Non-Profit Housing Association.
The association says ‘the award recognizes an individual whose commitment, leadership, and volunteer service to the affordable housing sector have made a significant impact in the community.’
McParland, a well-known leader in youth homelessness prevention, was posthumously honoured by the BC Non-Profit Housing Association during a recent Housing Central conference. The video presentation can be found using this link.
