TNRD rescinds evacuation alerts around Merritt, some orders remain

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Nicola Regional District has rescinded evacuation alerts across three electoral areas around Merritt.

An ‘All Clear’ has been issued in area I, N, and M.

“The threat of flooding for most properties in those areas no longer pose an imminent risk to the safety of residents. Please note any evacuations orders issued remain in place,” reads the release.

The evacuation orders issued on November 15, 2021 at 1530 hrs, November 15, 2021 at 1600 hrs and November 16, 2021 at 1600 hrs remain in place for the following properties:
• 3120 Coldwater Road; and
• 973 Neilson Street
• 872 to 933 Brookmere Station Rd;
• 905 to 920 Caboose Lane;9;
