Weekend for Kamloops RCMP include reported shooting and stabbing, Sahali break-in

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP responded to approximately 294 calls for service from midnight on Friday (Nov. 12), to 9:00 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 15). Below are some highlights from those reports.

Reported shoot and chase

Officers were called to Edith Lake Road Friday evening after a man reported being chased by a vehicle and shot at by its occupants.

RCMP located the man who made the report within city limits. He had a minor injury and claimed to be assaulted with a weapon, but police say few details were provided.

The investigation is ongoing.

Sahali break-and-enter

A glass door at a Sahali retail store was found smashed Sunday evening, but it’s unknown what was stolen.

RCMP responded after an intrusion alarm went off on the 500-block of Notre Dame Drive.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to assist is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.

Reported stabbing

A man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Sunday after a reported stabbing.

RCMP attended the 800-block of Victoria Street, but say the man was uncooperative with the investigation and few details were provided to investigators.
