Canada Post temporarily suspends service in Merritt; Western Canadian customers told to expect delays

MERRITT — Canada Post is suspending delivery service in Merritt, and will resume once conditions improve.
A release from Canada Post Monday (Nov. 15) afternoon says the flooding in Merritt have made conditions unsafe for its employees.
Additionally, Canada Post issued a yellow delivery service alert for Western Canada due to recent flooding, rockslides, and mudslides causing road and highway closures. Customers may experience some delays in receiving items as the road closures will affect transportation of mail and parcels across Western Canada.
