FATAL HIGHWAY INCIDENT
One person dead after two-vehicle crash closes Highway 99 near Lillooet

LILLOOET, B.C. — RCMP say one person has died in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 99 at the Fountain Flat Trading Post Gas Station north of Lillooet Monday (Nov. 8) evening.
Lillooet RCMP say a four-door Sedan was northbound turning left into the Trading Post and turned right into the path of a southbound pickup truck. BC Ambulance was already on scene and administering first aid to the Sedan driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt.
RCMP say the Sedan driver was transported to Lillooet Hospital but died shortly after, while the pickup truck driver had minor injuries.
Highway 99 was closed overnight for police to conduct their investigation and allow a collision analyst to attend. The highway re-opened at noon the next day.
