Kamloops RCMP ramping up search for Shannon White with new information

KAMLOOPS — The search for Shannon White, who’s been missing from Kamloops since Nov. 1, has led Kamloops RCMP to an area west of the city.

In a news release, police say they have joined forces with Kamloops Search and Rescue to dive deeper into the disappearance of White.

Kamloops RCMP have received information that her vehicle left the city for a 45-minute period on in the morning Nov. 1. Her vehicle was observed travelling west on the TransCanada Highway, leading officers to the area being searched.

Another area police are targeting is the Silver Sage trailer park on the Tk’emlups reserve in the Mount Paul Industrial Park.

“With this new information, the Kamloops RCMP are seeking any witnesses who may have observed Shannon’s Jeep west of Kamloops on Nov. 1, to please contact police,” said Corporal Dave Marshall from the Kamloops RCMP Serious Crime Unit. “We currently have a large Search and Rescue contingent searching for Shannon and we will continue to provide updates regarding the search and any additional assistance we may require from the public.”

According to reports, White left her Lower Sahali home around 8 a.m. in the morning of Nov. 1. Her Jeep was located on Nicola Street near 3rd Avenue the next day.

People with anymore information related to White’s disappearance are asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
