KAMLOOPS β€” A call about unwanted tenants led to the recovery of stolen property and the seizure of drugs, cash, and firearms.

Kamloops RCMP say they attended an apartment on the 300-block of Tranquille Road Tuesday (Nov. 9) morning to help remove alleged squatters due to safety concerns about possible criminal activity.

Police say when they discovered the tenants were lawful occupants of the apartment, but also observed two stolen e-bikes in plain view.

β€œIn recognizing that stolen property was present in the apartment, police arrested the two lawful tenants, then held the scene so a search warrant could be obtained and executed,” Cst. Crystal Evelyn says.
