KAMLOOPS — Five of the ten teams in the Canadian Hockey League Top 10 rankings are from the Western League — including the Kamloops Blazers.

After a couple of weeks at number five, the Blazers (11-1-0) have moved up number three this week.

That follows wins of 7-1 over Portland and 6-0 and 3-2 in back-to-back wins in Victoria.

The Winnipeg Ice (14-1-0) remain at number one, followed by the London Knights(9-1-1) from the Ontario Hockey League at two.

Everett has jumped up three places from last week to number four.

The Silvertips, at 9-0-1 are the only team in the CHL without a regulation time loss.

With two losses in three games last week the Edmonton Oil Kings (9-3-3) have dropped two places to number five.

Help is on the way for the Oil Kings.

The St. Louis Blues have sent Jake Neighbours back to junior.

Neighbours had played in nine games with the Blues, scoring a goal and one assist.

After not being ranked last week the Seattle Thunderbirds (9-2-1) have darted into the top ten at number nine.
