Thousands of Aberdeen residents wake up without power

UPDATE: Power was restored before 8:00 a.m. Monday.

KAMLOOPS – BC Hydro is dealing with a major outages in the Aberdeen area of Kamloops this morning.

The outage is impacting 2,151 customers in the Aberdeen area. A crew is on site and power is expected to be restored by 7:00 a.m.

Some of the homes impacted have been without power since 1:00 a.m.

According the BC Hydro outage page, a cable fault is to blame.
