Search underway for missing boater at Horsefly Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Williams Lake RCMP and Search and Rescue (SAR) are searching for a missing 60-year-old man after a boating mishap on Horsefly Lake on Sunday (Nov. 7).

A search was conducted by RCMP, SAR, Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Fire Rescue after the man reportedly fell into the water northeast of Williams Lake at 6:32 p.m. The search was temporarily postponed due to darkness and resumed at first light.

RCMP ask people to avoid the area as SAR continues efforts to locate the missing man.
