COVID-19 claims the life of a patient at GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel

QUESNEL, B.C. — COVID-19 has claimed the life of a patient at GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel.
Northern Health declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the hospital last month. To date, there have been five patients and five staff with lab-confirmed cases of the virus.
The health authority is extending its condolences to the deceased individual’s family, friends and caregivers.
Northern Health is expected to provide another update on the outbreak at the hospital sometime this week.
