Brown remains in B event after comeback win at Grand Slam of Curling’s Boost National event

KAMLOOPS — The Corryn Brown rink remains in the B event at the Boost National in Alberta.
Brown came back to defeat Hyerin Kim’s rink from Korea 5-4 on Thursday.
Brown’s team got down 3-1 to Kim after five ends, but then in the sixth the Kamloops rink scored a deuce to even the game. Kim responded with a single in the seventh to take a 4-3 lead before Brown tied it again and then won it with a steal of one in the ninth.
With the victory, Brown is still in the B event, reserved for teams with one loss in the triple knockout format at the Grand Slam of Curling event in Chestermere, Alberta.
