Woman charged, man outstanding after separate reported grocery store robberies in Sahali
KAMLOOPS — A 23-year-old Kamloops woman is charged with robbery and assault with a weapon after a grocery store robbery Halloween (Oct. 31) night.
According to Kamloops RCMP, an employee at a grocery store in the 1200-block of Summit Drive was allegedly assaulted and went to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after she attempted to stop the woman from leaving with unpaid items. The matter is before the courts.
Elsewhere, another reported robbery occurred on the 900-block of Columbia Street West where a male suspect allegedly pulled out a knife when confronted by staff. The man reportedly left the store on foot with dog food, electronics and a cheese platter.
The man is described as a 6-feet tall and Caucasian, dressed in blue jeans, a grey jacket and a green backpack.
