TRU partners with Interior universities to create work opportunities for students
KAMLOOPS — Thompson Rivers University (TRU) has partnered with two other Interior universities to help small and medium businesses create more work opportunities for students.
University of British Columbia Okanagan and University of Northern British Columbia collaborated with TRU to develop the Interior and Northern Work Integrated Learning Initiative (INWIL).
The program’s goal is to connect local communities with emerging talent by allowing employers to cost-effectively increase capacity within their organization, develop space to innovate and contribute to a future skilled workforce within the Interior and Northern regions of BC.
INWIL will connect students from all three universities to small and medium businesses and give them the resources and tools they need.
