Suspected drugs, weapons and ammunition seized in Kamloops North Shore bust

KAMLOOPS — RCMP seized drugs, weapons and ammunition after an impaired driving complaint on the Kamloops North Shore Wednesday night (Oct. 27).

In a news release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn says police received the call at about 7:12 p.m. Wednesday, responding to a parking lot in the 700-block of Fortune Drive.

As officers approached the suspect vehicle, they noticed bear spray and a folding saw inside. Further investigation revealed suspected crystal meth and a gun magazine loaded with ammunition.

The vehicle’s driver was arrested and taken to RCMP cells. He has since been released with charges pending.
