After weeks of declines, Kamloops sees COVID-19 case increase last week

KAMLOOPS — After several weeks of declines, Kamloops saw an increase in COVID-19 transmission last week.

According to the most recent case count data broken down by Local Health Area (LHA) provided by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control, the Kamloops area had 145 cases between October 17 and 23, an increase of 27 from the previous week.

Transmission remains very high in nearly every region in Northern B.C., as well as pockets of Vancouver Island and the Fraser Valley.
