Temporary change in Ashcroft Hospital’s emergency department hours

ASHCROFT – Interior Health is advising Ashcroft and area residents of a temporary change to the emergency department hours at the Ashcroft Hospital and Community Health Care Centre this weekend.

The emergency department will be closed overnight Sunday (Oct. 24) from midnight to 8 a.m.

In the event of an emergency, Interior Health says residents should call 9-1-1, call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 if they’re unsure if they need emergency care, or visit Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt or Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

Interior Health did not specify why the temporary overnight closure is taking place.
