Interior Savings closing early Thursday for Day of Difference volunteer work
KAMLOOPS — All Interior Savings Credit Union branches in Kamloops will close at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 21), but the employees will be serving the community in a different capacity.
Thursday is International Credit Union Day and Interior Savings will host its “Day of Difference” where credit union and insurance employees will volunteer over the city as a thank you to its members, and way to give back to the community.
“It’s a day when credit unions around the globe celebrate the history and achievements of the credit union movement and all those who have been a part of it,” Interior Savings CEO Kathy Conway says. “As a cooperative, we believe we can make the greatest difference in people’s lives by working together and this is one way to say thanks to our members and to the many non-profit partners who are helping to make our community strong.”
Groups such as Kamloops Food Bank, Elizabeth Fry, Habitat for Humanity, Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association, Kamloops Literacy, Kamloops SPCA and the Wildlife Park will be assisted with whatever work is needed.
