Coroners Service, Worksafe B.C. investigating death at Mission Flats business

KAMLOOPS — The B.C. Coroners Service is confirming a person died in an incident at a Kamloops business last week.

In an email to CFJC Today, the service confirms it is looking into a fatality at Rivercity Fibre, located at 1880 Mission Flats Road. The incident happened last Friday morning, Oct. 15.

No details about the death have been made available.

Worksafe B.C. is also investigating the incident.

“The purpose of WorkSafeBC’s investigation is to determine the cause of the incident, and any contributing factors, with the aim to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future,” said Worksafe in an email.
