Clearwater emergency room closed for the weekend once again

CLEARWATER, B.C. — The emergency room at the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in Clearwater will be closed for another weekend.

In a news release, Interior Health says the closure will begin Friday afternoon (Oct. 15) at 4:00 p.m. and last until Monday morning at 7:00 a.m.

The closure is due to limited staffing availability.

The closest emergency room for those who need it will be at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
