KAMLOOPS — Long guns, a morning star knife, ammunition, suspected drugs (fentanyl, GHB, meth, pills), items for drug trafficking and cash.

That’s what Kamloops RCMP seized after a reported stabbing on Oct. 6.

RCMP say officers executed a search warrant on Brandon Avenue as part of an investigation which began when a person entered the emergency room with injuries consistent with a stab wound.

“The magnitude of the weapons located inside the residence, a residence officers attended as a result of a violent act, speaks to the risks involved every time police respond to these occurrences,” Kamloops RCMP Inspector Jeff Pelley says. “Important evidence was seized and preserved as part of the aggravated assault file, and other dangerous items were prevented from making their way into the public while police continue their active investigation.”
