Unexpected closure at Barriere emergency department Tuesday

BARRIERE, B.C. — Interior Health says the emergency department at the Barriere Health Centre is closed Tuesday (Oct. 5).

In a news release, IH says the department is closed due to limited staffing availability.

Anyone requiring emergency care is advised to call 9-1-1.

The closest emergency department that is open is at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
