Interior Health school COVID-19 exposure list up to 50, including eight in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — As of Friday morning (Oct. 1), Interior Health has listed no fewer than 50 schools on its COVID-19 exposure list.

Eight of those schools are in the Kamloops-Thompson School District. The latest to be added are Summit Elementary (Sept. 16 to 21) and Haldane Elementary in Chase (Sept. 21 to 24). The independent Catholic school Our Lady of Perpetual Help has an exposure listed for Sept. 20 and 21.

There are several exposures listed for other Interior communities as well.

In Merritt, an exposure at Diamond Vale Elementary took place from Sept. 21 to 24.

In Salmon Arm, there are COVID-19 exposures at King’s Christian School (Sept. 20 and 21), Shuswap Middle School (Sept. 17) and South Broadview Elementary (Sept. 24).

To the north in 100 Mile House, there are exposures at Peter Skene Ogden Secondary (Sept. 20 to 22) and the PSO Storefront School (Sept. 20 and 21).

In Williams Lake, exposures are registered at Cataline Elementary (Sept. 15 to 23), Nesika Elementary (Sept. 21 to 23) and Columneetza Senior Secondary (Sept. 16, 20 and 21).
